A Home for our Neighbors
Funding
Places like the Jeremiah Community have been developed around the country with primarily private resources. We believe the same generosity exists in the Fredericksburg region. Funds are still needed to help us reach our goal, funding the costs of site preparation and development, construction of houses and amenities, and operating expenses. Find our case for why Jeremiah Community is needed, with more financial detail, here.
House Sponsors
We need 25-30 churches, businesses or other partners who want to build a house for a neighbor. We estimate the per home cost to be approximately $60,000. Each sponsor will have the opportunity to pick the colors, name the house and meet the first person who gets to live there.

Tell the story
Help others understand that the conscience of a community can be measured in how it cares for its most vulnerable neighbor. Our chronically homeless neighbors need more than four walls, a roof and a case manager; they need community. . . Jeremiah Community. You can be an ambassador for Jeremiah Community by speaking to your own social circle and groups you’re involved in. It takes a village!
Join a Come & See bus tour at Micah
Micah Ministries’ Come & See bus tour is a wonderful opportunity to see the work that Micah is already doing alongside our unhoused neighbors. To learn how Jeremiah Community is a natural evolution of Micah Ministries, and to become an ambassador, sign up for a bus tour now!
